A missionary couple: Walter and Elizabeth Hasenfratz, from Switzerland, arrived in Sicily with their family during the 70s. They settled at Nicosia, an important town in the province of Enna. With the help of different teams (mostly from Switzerland), in the course of two decades they have seen God's blessing on their ministry. Currently the Christian Bible Church has more than 30 members who regularly attend. An encouraging ministry among the youth goes forward. Worthy of specific mention is the witness given by the social work: Il Faro, in which the Hasenfratz and several others are actively involved. This center came into existence to meet the need of providing shelter for young single mothers  and needy children. The development and progress of this important ministry has been of great encouragement and the testimony of the church itself has been greatly enhanced.
